The Material Handler is responsible for all aspects of the Inventory Control department including, keeping an accurate inventory, unloading trucks, receiving materials, warehousing materials, delivering material to production and stocking materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Unloads incoming vendor shipments and verifies, signs and dates paperwork for incoming shipments.
- Receives, issues, and transfers materials using Agility scanning system.
- Delivers materials needed by production from outside warehouse to plant.
- Develops priority lists and follows up on parts requirements for production and consults with manager about priority planning.
- Stocks daily material requirement list and maintains an effective system of stock rotation.
- Monitors activity on inventory levels to prevent stock outs.
- Performs weekly/monthly cycle count inventories for Crib, Warehouse, and Plant.
- Operates a forklift and pallet jack in a safe manner.

Preferred Education, Training or Experience
- High School education or up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to read a tape measure in standard and metric
- Forklift certified preferred.
