Position Overview:
As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building a data platform and processes to enable teams to onboard and serve our customers and products. You will contribute to the execution and delivery of technical aspects of our technology roadmap. You will work closely with senior team members and collaborate across functions within the enterprise.
Key responsibilities include:
-Assist in applying well-architected framework principles to design and deploy foundational functions within our platform.
-Contribute to the development and maintenance of healthcare interoperability solutions for secure and efficient data exchange.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and help translate them into technical specifications.
-Develop ETL processes and frameworks to be used by data engineers.
-Design and implement relational data schemas to support reporting, and analytics products.
-Implement data solutions using scalable processing tools focusing on data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA.
-Assist in integrating third-party healthcare systems, APIs, and data sources into our platform.
-Work with cloud architects to deploy and manage healthcare solutions on cloud platforms.
-Collaborate with data engineers to manage and analyze healthcare data.
-Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in healthcare interoperability and relevant tech stacks.
-Participate in the development of repeatable integration mechanisms to minimize single-use integrations.
-Help design and implement management and support tooling for platform operations.
-Contribute to maintaining compliance with SLAs and OLAs.
-Support the execution of the technical roadmap under guidance from senior team members.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
-3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably with exposure to healthcare technology.
-Familiarity with scalable data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Glue, etc.)
-Competent with modern data processing systems and languages (e.g., Spark, Pyspark, Scala, Python)
-Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) and cloud-native application development.
-Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR is a plus.
-Experience with Agile development methodologies.
-Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).
-Basic understanding of healthcare data security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
-Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.
-Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
-Proactive attitude and willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
