The responsibilities of the AdmissionsCoordinator include:
- Provide information, tours and interviews for residents, responsible parties and / or family members who have expressed interest in Hooverwood Living.
- Provide pre-admission assessments of applicants to determine need for facility placement. Work in conjunction with Administration, Nursing, Business Office, etc. when making admission related approvals and when assuring compliance with CICOA, PAS, insurance company, Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, etc., regulations and requirements.
- Work in conjunction with Director of Social Services and Social Service Staff to effectively utilize their support and assistance with admission process, tours, inquiries, room transfers, discharges, etc., when responsibilities require this position to be out of the facility.
- Act as an advocate for the facility at all times. Assist Hooverwood Administration as appropriate to investigate and respond to legitimate complaints a resident, resident family or resident legal representative may have.
- Attend and provide input, direction, and feedback at the following meetings: Team meetings, Quality Assurance Committee, Admissions Committee, Rehabilitation Committee, Marketing Committee, Eldersource Case Management Committee, NORC Advisory Committee, or any other Board or staff committees as may be assigned by the Executive Director.
- Assure all admission documents, medical records, physician orders, resident notices of rights, and HIPAA policies are signed by the resident and / or resident responsible party. Assure that completed admission contracts and all other documents are turned into the Executive Director for review and signature in a timely fashion.
- Seek assistance and support from marketing to assure that all admission related documents, brochures, contracts, etc., are accurate, timely, and fully stocked.
- Assure that complete and accurate information is provided to Receptionist for the completion of admission face sheets, daily census, etc.
- Assure new residents and family members are well introduced to their new environment and assure that orientation of the resident to the facility is initiated immediately upon arrival by communicating with social service staff resident’s time of arrival and specific needs.
- Fully comply with all aspects of Hooverwood’s Corporate Compliance program and its Code of Conduct.
- The Marketing Coordinator shall perform any other duties, as may be assigned by the Director of Social Services, Admissions or the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Preferred associate or bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
- Prefer 1-3 year's experience in healthcare / long term care admissions and / or marketing.
- Prefer knowledge of the field of geriatrics/long term care, etc.
- Requires experiences with computers, data entry, Microsoft programs
- Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
