Joye Law Firm is seeking to add a  Personal Injury Case Manager to support our growing Charleston office. The right candidate will be ready and able to provide world-class client service in a professional, empathetic, and ethical manner to our clients. The daily tasks for this position include:

Keeping clients updated on the status of their case through phone calls, text messaging, and emails.

Reviewing documents to ensure accuracy.

Keeping a thorough documentation in the case management system regarding the status of the case.

Manage the retrieval and processing of medical records and bills.

Maintaining physical custody of the file and keeping it organized and updated appropriately.

Providing professional assistance to the attorney assigned to the file.

This role handles files in the pre-litigation status. This position does not handle litigation after a suit is filed on a case.


This is a full-time position in office position. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Three years as a personal injury paralegal or similar experience required. 


Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Outlook, Lawbase Case Management software, and Worldox.


Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Description
$22.00-26.00 per hour
