Vice President, Business Development and Sales

Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Business Development and Sales will be responsible for leading NFW’s growth through strategic partnerships. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and leading high-performance business development and sales teams. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, driving revenue, and establishing NFW as the go-to solution for sustainable materials.


Responsibilities:

  •  Utilize industry knowledge, data analytics, market intelligence, and regulatory changes in the industry to develop visionary strategies for market integration and to identify growth opportunities.
  •  Understand the product requirements of target customers and then cultivate product adoption strategies to engage customers seeking our portfolio of products.
  •  Translate customer insights into actionable growth strategies and product development initiatives to create solutions that will expand NFW market presence.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to conduct thorough financial analyses, including valuation models, to assess the financial viability and impact of potential partnerships.
  • Partner with the leadership team to define and implement the company's long term growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships that align with NFW’s ground rules.
  •  Drive revenue growth by expanding the customer base, increasing sales to existing customers, and expanding global presence through strategic planning and execution.
  •  Provide visionary leadership to the business development and sales teams to foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department. 
  •  Communicate business development strategies, progress, and results to the executive team, board of directors, and potential investors.
  •  Act as a catalyst for change, influence others to translate vision into action, and rapidly adapt to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
  •  Ensure all employees follow all NFW and industry standard health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree required, an advanced degree preferred, with at least 10 years of sales and business development experience within the automotive, textile, footwear, or a related manufacturing industry required. 
  •  At least 5 years in a leadership role with a proven track record in successfully managing complex sales cycles and overcoming business challenges.
  •  Prior experience working for a private equity or in a startup environment preferred.
  •  Deep understanding of consumer insights and the ability to translate them into actionable growth strategies.
  •  Proven ability to scale a sales organization and revenue streams.
  •  Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills, fostering internal and external relationships.
  •  Success in developing high performing teams and driving change through an organization.
  •  Proven ability to solve complex problems through creativity and innovation.
  •  Ability to work effectively with cross-functional senior executives in a fast-changing environment.
  •  A true problem solver: you can identify customer needs and proactively suggest opportunities for expansion.
  •  Strategic thinking capability to build innovative sales models with the tactical ability to execute.
  •  Demonstrated ability to attract, build, mentor and direct a high-performing, cohesive sales team with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and growth expectations
