Position Summary

 This position involves managing all aspects of the construction project billing and payment process as well as assisting with other departmental duties as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Process construction and project related purchase orders, change orders, and billings/invoices ensuring the proper waivers and documentation is retained.
  2. Reconcile billing disputes with suppliers, contractors, and/or the Accounts Payable team.
  3. Process interdepartmental charges for construction and project related expenses including reclassifications and administrative charges.
  4. Identify possible construction and project budget issues by comparing, updating, and reconciling balances to Banner daily or as needed. 
  5. File notice of commencements with the applicable jurisdiction as needed.
  6. Assist the Business Operations Manager with policies, procedures, and the website.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders contacting or visiting the office.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business administration, accounting, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • General knowledge of accounts payable or finance practices or principles.
  • Desire to exemplify and support the service-oriented mission and vision of the University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Experience using Banner by Ellucian.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Efficient time management and ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer literacy and comfortable with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Physical Requirements

 Job may occasionally require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. 


Work Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.


Licenses/Certifications

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.


Salary/Pay Information

$45,000 Annually


Anticipated Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
