We are looking for a Residential Account Manager to service the West Coast (preferably residing in CA, NV, or AZ)
This position is responsible for growing the York Design Group (YDG) residential sales in the defined territory with new and existing customers. This role will serve as the primary relationship owner for all key accounts (Designers, Decorators, Builders, Paint & Wall Retailers) with responsibility for retention and growth to ensure maximum growth potential. Additionally, this role must have a deep understanding of the YDG product portfolio & processes to achieve the most effective customer experience that aligns with the corporate strategies and goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Achieve the assigned sales and profitability targets, while maximizing sales of brands and products within assigned territory
- Manage Key Accounts; develop positive working relationships with all customer touch points
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan to drive sales and profitability
- Always representing as a brand ambassador by providing the best in class customer service to offer the highest quality product and customer experience
- Work closely with Customer Service to determine root causes for customer success or failure and drive requirements for product or process enhancement and development as needed
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals, maximize sales and key performance metrics and exceed those goals throughout the campaign
- Leverage sales reporting tools to understand and increase territory sales
- Provide continuous feedback and collaboration with the leadership team outlining market trends, product gaps and new opportunities
- Perform product presentations to Key Accounts and their clients as required
- Develop & sign-up new Designers with the appropriate Book plan to maximize sales
- Daily interaction with clients to identify their project / business needs and collaborate to build on going working relationship
- Identify and close new sales/account opportunities through vigorous prospecting and establish relationships with key decision makers
- Provide input to the competitive position of the organization’s products and/or services and communicate findings with appropriate teammates
- Participate in marketing activities including trade shows, promotional events, and industry conferences.
- Seek and develop new business opportunities through trade affiliations, industry functions such as markets, lines showings, mailers, trade publications, social and professional networking
- Provide timely communication of key sales activities and important developments with key accounts
- Manage and control all sales expenses (operating, travel & entertainment, promotional)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Previous sales management experience with proven growth results
- Experience or background in wallcovering, home decor or a similar industry
- Demonstrated history of key account sales and successful business development
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate
- Strong presentation and communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to produce results independently
- Solid strategic planning and execution skills
- Capable of driving revenue through all sales channels
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Remote or home office
- 70% of time to be spent traveling and client facing, through product presentations, project consolations and business updates
- Additional travel, at the discretion of the department manager, may be required based on demand or business opportunity at the time
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION
