POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking to add a Location Manager Intern to our team. The ideal candidate is interested in supply chain management, seed cleaning and packaging, quality and safety, and working to provide customers with the best quality product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work alongside assigned Location Manager to understand how they lead their team at their assigned location

· Understand how to set and meet goals for financial and operational success

· Become knowledgeable about quality, maintenance, and safety of the facility

· Learn how to coordinate receiving, cleaning, and shipping of products

· Seasonally work in each Millborn facility to learn how they operate

· Spend time in all areas of our business to learn and prepare to answer dealer and customer questions

· Develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of the organization and those we serve

· Ask thought-provoking questions to better understand each audience and how we can serve their needs

· Generate and communicate feedback and ideas to the different functions throughout the organization

· Work with your leader to develop a project and present your final presentation to the leadership team at the end of the internship

OTHER INFORMATION

To be part of the Millborn intern team, you must spend time in all areas of the business. Prior to starting your internship, you must spend at least 100 hours working in the warehouse to understand the behind-the-scenes of our business. These hours can be done anytime from the moment of hiring and will be paid hourly as laid out in the internship contract.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

· Work performed indoors includes an office environment, requiring the ability to sit or stand to operate standard office equipment, computers and phones  

· Warehouse and outdoor work require frequent lifting/carrying of up to 60lbs 

· Standing and walking for extended periods of time

· Operation of equipment (grain bins, truck unloading equipment, mixers, forklifts, golf carts), bending, stooping and reaching 

· Moderate dust (PPE provided), moderate noise and exposure to heat and cold when outdoor work is required

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

· GED/High School Diploma required

· Post Secondary Education and/or adequate experience in supply chain management, business, operations, or related field preferred

· Agricultural/Agronomy background is a plus.
