About The Job
Who We Need:
MikeWorldWide is looking for a Director to join our Digital practice to help run accounts and execute digital marketing programs. This role will support teams across the agency and will be based out of our New York office.
The Director will be a strategic leader within our team, responsible for overseeing and managing digital and social media accounts for our high-profile clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem, especially social media platforms. We are looking for a strategist who understands social, can speak strategically to SEO and paid media, and who has ideally worked in a PR agency setting in the past.
As the Director, you will work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into effective digital and social media campaigns. You will also be responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring that all tactics and activities align with broader client/business goals, and delivering measurable results.
This role is critical to ensuring that our programs are integrated across all teams and executed flawlessly. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to present, excellent analytic skills, and can manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely alongside Digital leaders and teams across the agency to help enhance offerings for our clients to ensure the agency is evolving and staying ahead of the curve.
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with clients' business goals and drive engagement across all relevant platforms
- LinkedIn expertise and experience is especially interesting to us
- Oversee the creation, curation, management and execution of programs, ensuring all content across digital channels is engaging, aligns with strategy and is optimized for each platform.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of programs, using data to inform decisions and optimize future strategies.
- Research and understand relevant industry experts, influencers, competitors, target audience and users as it relates to each client.
- Participate in new business research and proposals.
- Oversee team managing activity reports and account management needs for clients.
- Stay current with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and provide recommendations for how clients can leverage new opportunities.
- Advise on any social media crises or negative publicity, working closely with clients to protect their brand reputation from a digital point of view.
Required Skills:
- Strategic Skills: Proven ability to develop and execute successful, high-impact strategies that can cut across social media, SEO, paid media and influencer marketing.
- Social Mindset: Strong understanding of all major social media platforms and their respective best practices.
- Client Management: Strong experience as the client lead, spearheading the strategy and execution of integrated accounts including experience seamlessly incorporating corporate/b2b digital strategies
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, communication and presentation abilities.
- Proces Skills: Excellent process and organizational skills.
- Analytic Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-informed decisions.
- Multitasking: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
- Leadership Skills: Experience supervising and providing guidance to junior team members; strong team building and mentorship aptitude.?
- Intergration: Demonstrated understanding of how digital and social media work together with traditional media relations.?
- Toolkit Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with tools such as Meltwater, NetBase Quid, Social HP, Meltwater and other monitoring tools.?
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital/social media management preferably in an agency environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to travel as necessary contingent on client and new business needs (requirements vary).?
