Prepared Foods Stocker
Description

The Prepared Foods Stocker position is responsible for stocking retail inventory which includes Front Of House(FOH) service cases, Grocery shelves and cases that house our Co-op's Own merchandise, ensuring proper signage, quality control, facing, rotation and cleanliness. This position also works with department manager to communicate immediate needs and concern regarding our products. 


Wage Range: $17.33-$21.00/hour

Full-Time, Variable hours, Open availability 


Requirements

  

 Essential Functions

 Merchandising / Product Rotation

· Assure quality control of all product on the deli sales floor

· Assist in establishing and maintaining attractive and effective product presentation in all cases: to-go, bakery, hot bar, soups, and line case

· Communicate regularly with FOH staff regarding appearance and standards of to-go case, hot bar, deli case, and bakery case

· Assure all signage and labels are accurate and appealing to customers; make deli tags and signage as instructed by Retail Deli Coordinator 

· Stock and rotate to-go case product; record shrink

· Place orders as directed by Retail Deli Coordinator; orders to-go case product such as dips, salads, spreads, sandwiches, etc., other others as directed by Retail Deli Coordinator

· Communicate with Retail Deli Coordinator on to-go case needs or any other necessary communication (outs, big order needs, product issues, etc.)

· Maintain communication with FOH for assistance with to-go case merchandising, stocking, and rotation

· Stock and rotate chips on sales floor and storage

· Organize and rotate product in walk-in and deli shelves 

· Unpack orders in deli

· Other tasks as assigned by managers

Qualification and Skill

· Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service by projecting a friendly, outgoing presence and maintaining a respectful demeanor at all times

· Ability to handle multiple demands, remain calm, think quickly, prioritize effectively, and problem solve within established guidelines

· Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork, compassion and constant communication are essential

· Must demonstrate basic math skills

· Ability to meet expectations of regular, predictable attendance

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends 

· Ability to maintain current food handler card

· Must be at least 18 years of age 

· High school diploma or equivalent

  Essential Physical Requirements

· Prolonged moving on the sales floor; standing and walking

· Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and rotating

· Continuous fine motors skills work and gripping with hands

· Ability to lift 30 lbs. often, up to 50 lbs. occasionally

· Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. 

· Exposure to temperatures: freezers and refrigeration
