BASIC FUNCTION: The Runner/Busser will assist the Servers in delivering food, bread, water, coffee, tea and other items from the kitchen to the dining room tables. The Runner/Busser is also responsible for cleaning and resetting of tables.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform to very high standards during both setup and service.
- Work with Captains, Supervisors, and Manager to insure prompt, accurate and efficient service.
- Deliver hot plates and glassware to tables.
- Daily stocking and cleaning of all service areas in dining room and kitchen.
- Daily hand polishing of china, silver and glassware.
- Clean and reset tables as directed by Captains and Supervisors.
- Nightly breakdown of side stations.
- Maintain crisp, clean uniform as outlined in restaurant guidelines.
- Be completely knowledgeable about all food served in the restaurant.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Assist in the other Food and Beverage departments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One-year restaurant experience.
- Good food and service knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pleasant and positive personality.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
