The Opportunity

Moser is seeking a Contract Sales Account Executive to champion our national B2B sales efforts. This is your chance to be an ambassador for American craft, driving engagement with the architecture and design community, as well as select contract and commercial clients.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Strategize: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand Thos. Moser’s footprint within key contract segments, presenting our capabilities to A&D firms, commercial dealers, and institutional buyers.
     
  • Relationship Building: Nurture long-term relationships built on trust, respect, and a shared appreciation for quality—turning first-time clients into lifelong partners.
     
  • Consultative Selling: Translate client aspirations into inspired, functional solutions—drawing upon your understanding of design, joinery, materials, and custom fabrication. Guide clients through our bespoke process, from technical requirements to final delivery.
     
  • Business Development: Proactively prospect and engage new opportunities, leveraging your industry network and actively participating in associations such as AIA, IIDA, and ASID.
     
  • Technical Fluency: Confidently communicate our unique value proposition, including the use of premium North American hardwoods, time-honored joinery, and our ability to engineer and integrate technical or sourced components.
     
  • Project Navigation: Use strong project management skills to shepherd complex, custom projects from inquiry through install—ensuring all client expectations are understood, set, and exceeded.
     
  • Contract Negotiation: Drive profitable outcomes while honoring Thos. Moser’s core values of integrity, transparency, and craftsmanship without compromise.
     

What You Bring

  • A genuine passion for design, architecture, and the craft of furniture making.
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably within the contract furnishings, architectural, or design markets.
  • The ability to think creatively and solve problems, always with the client’s goals and Thos. Moser’s standards in mind.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging at the executive and design-principal level.
  • Technical curiosity—a willingness to learn the language of woodworking, joinery, finishing, and sustainability.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and the discipline to self-direct in a fast-moving, highly consultative environment.

Requirements

  • Experience & Expertise: Five to ten years of proven success in B2B and contract sales, ideally within the design, furnishings, or allied industries. You bring both a strategic mindset and hands-on experience navigating complex sales cycles.
     
  • Presentation Excellence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire audiences—from design professionals to executive leadership.
     
  • Digital Savvy: Proficient with sales automation tools and CRM software; able to leverage technology to optimize the sales process and manage client relationships with precision and care.
     
  • Passion for Craft: A genuine appreciation for fine, handcrafted furniture—and the ability to communicate its inherent value, from design heritage to material selection and artisanal joinery.
     
  • Sales Performance: A record of consistently delivering measurable sales growth, uncovering new business opportunities, and expanding market share.
