The Director of Technology Services manages the technical support team and coordinates all activities of the technology services department and implement infrastructure and leveraging technology to help the organization achieve its goals to include; 

  • Responsible for managing employees and systems within the Technology Services department, liaising with other departments to determine technical needs, and developing solutions that align with organizational objectives.
  • Provide advice in selecting software and equipment
  • Setup and deploy PC's, networking equipment and servers
  • Support the telephone infrastructure
  • Support the Video-Conferencing infrastructure
  • Lead and manage the technology infrastructure, application maintenance, vendor relationships, and resource management, including help desk, and project staff
  • Keep up to date on job knowledge and technology trends; be a technology leader, outline details and benefits of technology implementation to senior management and ensure the maintenance of current applications and systems
  • Critically develop and implement long-term technical strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with overall corporate objectives
  • Ensure maintenance of current applications and technology systems are updated
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Aligning technology services with the corporate and operational objectives and strategy 
  • Support computing infrastructure including servers, email systems, administrative applications, Web services, databases, security and backups
  • Respond to alerts and provide remote support after hours as needed
  • Support the corporate intranet including database collection and coding
  • Provide direct help desk support as required
  • Research, develop, and implement technology projects, as assigned
  • Provide technical input and resource management to support corporate process improvement initiatives, including user/department needs and core system application  modifications
  • Lead staff in implementation of smart house technology directions
  • Hiring, supervising and developing the technology team
  • Researching, vetting and coordinating with vendors
  • Participate in Directors meetings
  • Provide friendly, energetic support to all end users
  • All other duties as assigned

  

70 hours/bi-weekly 

Schedule: Monday - Friday daytime hours,  after hours as needed.

Requirements

Network engineer certification preferred, Microsoft certification is a plus; 5 or more years’ experience in a network administration position;


Knowledge and experience in the following areas preferred:

  • Networking fundamentals; including switching, routing, protocols, VPNs, QOS, firewalls and packet filtering
  • Web server support on W2K3 and Suse Linux; Web to database integration
  • Ability to build various server platforms utilizing RAID, Hyder-V, VLANs
  • Familiarity with network backup software.
  • Familiarity and competency in Office 365 & Microsoft ENTRA
  • Remote desktop setup and support.
  • Experience with SQL, Crystal Reports, ODBC, HTML/SFTP

Salary Description
$105,000 - $115,000/year
