Summary/Objectives
Responsible for implementing, testing and monitoring quality control processes and procedures both operational and compliance related for the Loan Operations Department.
Essential Functions
- Works closely with the Sales Support, to review all processes for paid off loans including preparation of releases upon loan satisfactions: UCC filings, liens, mortgages and all other forms of terminations/releases as may be needed.
- Follow up and correct all documentation and loan input errors detected as part of the file review process
- Review all loan secured by negotiable collateral and confirm existence of a hold on the account and required policy LTV limits are being maintained
- Review the Base Loan, and line of credit trial balance for unusual balances, interest rates or due dates, include interest rates below 3% and over 8%
- Review the Bank’s lending limit and aggregate lending limit for loans to insiders for regulatory compliance. Schedule RC-M for accuracy. Confirm insider’s accounts on the Miser System are coded properly.
- Review all participations bought and sold to respective general ledger accounts. Payment for sold participation loans for proper and timely remittance
- Review residential, consumer, and commercial loan GL reconciliations for accuracy, agreement to supporting documentation, stale dated items, and evidence of supervisory review
- Verify the process for monitoring expired insurance policies (to include flood insurance) and forced place insurance. Review a sample of 3 for proper notification to the customer. Forced placed hazard and flood policies to ensure that the coverage period and amount were adequate to satisfy the loan.
- A four year degree in Business Administration, Accounting, a related field or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft Office
