Reports To: Executive Director
Supervises: Department Staff, Volunteers and Interns
Classification: Regular Full-Time, Exempt
Katy Christian Ministries is a social service non-profit serving Katy/West Houston. We have a Social Service department that offers emergency financial assistance, a Food Pantry, a Crisis Center that houses the Domestic Abuse Center and the Sexual Assault Center, three Resale Stores and Donation Centers.
Operations:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative tasks of the Social Service Program.
2. Supervise case management services utilizing a strengths-based client empowerment model.
3. Oversee and monitor program metrics, training, program development, and professional development of staff.
4. In conjunction with Lead Case Manager oversee the implementation of all Social Service Special Projects.
5. Update and maintain Operations Manual as necessary.
6. Oversee maintenance of client databases, data input and client files.
7. Attend assigned board meetings, staff meetings, training, and staff retreats.
8. Responsible for fiscal management of Social Services in conjunction with the Finance Director.
9. Review financial assistance requests and process checks.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Grants:
11. Ensure adherence to grant requirements including data collection, financial compliance and statistical reporting to appropriate grant entities.
12. Work with Director of Programs and Grants to identify and apply for program grants and other funding opportunities.
13. Maintain relationships with grant funding sources.
Staff/Volunteers:
14. Directly supervise Case Managers and interns.
15. Conduct employee performance reviews and submit it to the Executive Director for approval.
16. Conduct weekly staff meetings with a written agenda and meeting minutes. Maintain a Staff Meeting Binder.
17. Review and approve staff weekly timesheets and time-off requests.
18. Oversee the continual education and training of staff.
19. Maintain open and effective communication with all departments.
20. Oversee volunteer recruitment, retention and training program.
Collaborations:
21. Network with community providers to find relevant resources, obtain information and provide referrals.
22. Work with community organizations to form partnerships with signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU).
Qualifications:
1. Professional management skills to lead and direct Social Services team.
2. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
3. Ability to work well with diverse populations.
4. Effective motivator, communicator, and advocate with inherent ability to manage all types of personalities, diffuse stressful situations, pro-actively resolve issues and meet and achieve challenging goals and objectives.
5. Knowledge of computer software - Microsoft Office, Apricot, Teams.
6. Minimum Requirements: Three (3) years’ experience in Case Management
7. Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred
