AUTOMATION OPERATOR - Soli Organic

Job Type: Full-time

 The Automation Operator’s job is to operate production automation such as seed Sowers, harvesting machines, automatic tray stackers and destackers, cart, and tray washer. The Automation Operator helps to develop and follow verbal and written SOPs and daily, weekly, and monthly check sheets and maintenance records in order to maintain constant product quality and efficiency.

The Automation Operator performs their work safely and follows all Food Safety and GMP guidelines.

 Facility work schedule: Alternating Day shift working 12 hours – 3 or 4 days a week 6:00am-6:00pm 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Non-Essential Functions are preceded by an *)

  • Operate machinery following SOPs      and training to maximize safety, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Adjusts and maintains machinery,      in conjunction with maintenance and overseas vendor when required.
  • Performs daily operator PM      checks.
  • Conducts periodic (daily, weekly)      inspections and reports any structural or mechanical issues to management.
  • Works with outside national and      international vendors as needed.
  • Adheres to safety and food safety      and quality guidelines.
  • Reports and repairs all      safety/food safety hazards to mitigate risk.
  • Maintains a clean working      environment at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned      by management.

Requirements

 REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Has experience with automated      machinery and PLC controls
  • A good ability of both written      and verbal English is essential
  • Has experience in a production or      manufacturing environment

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • CNC education and experience      preferred
  • The ability to operate and read      PLC’s preferred.
  • Automation operator experience      preferred.
