South College Online seeks candidates for a Program Director- Master Speech Language Pathology Program- Online/ Remote. The director will oversee all aspects of the program including the development and submission of the application for accreditation to the CAA. The director is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence and compliance with CAA accreditation requirements, while also fostering a collaborative and student-centered learning environment. This role will include curriculum development and oversight of the faculty. The director will teach sixteen (16) courses per academic year. Successful candidates will have a terminal degree in Speech Language Pathology, and preference will be given to candidates who have successfully taught in the online format. The position is online remote and will report directly to the Dean of Academics Online. 

 

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all full-time and adjunct faculty members.
  • Support faculty development, encouraging scholarly activities, service, and participation in professional organizations. 
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of faculty to enhance the quality of the program.
  • Set annual goals for direct reports. 

  

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to provide leadership in required accreditation standards from the Council for Academic Accreditation (CAA).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide administrative leadership in curriculum development
  • Ability to work in a remote environment while building collegial relationships with administrators, faculty, students, and staff across campuses. 
Requirements

Successful candidates should hold a terminal degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with preference given to those who have demonstrated successful teaching experience in an online format. The program director will be responsible for developing the online program, completing accreditation documentation, and overseeing the program's development.
