Job Summary


The Product Program Coordinator/Girl Experience Coordinator (PGEC) is a member of the Product Program and Girl Experience teams for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains (GSTOP).


Product Program is a pillar of the entrepreneurial programs of Girl Scouting, teaching Girl Scouts how to manage and execute their own business through the annual Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs. The PGEC supports the planning and execution of programmatic events including but not limited to Cookie University and Financing Your Superpower events.


The PGEC is additionally responsible for Girl Experience and Entrepreneurship programming in the Fort Worth area including but not limited to the coordination, implementation, and partnership with volunteers to deliver Product Program and Girl Experiences. This position must demonstrate and promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial justice as a priority of the team including an ongoing climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to all. 


In collaboration with the Product Program Manager the Product Program and Girl Experience Coordinator will exercise discretion and judgment with respect to matters of significance. This job is not routine, clerical, or administrative in nature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Product Program Responsibilities

  1. Recruits, trains, and partners with volunteers for assigned area(s).
  2. During the cookie program, works closely with assigned volunteers on weekly planned orders and inventory management to ensure accuracy and minimize leftover inventory.
  3. Cultivates and maintains product program vendors and corporate partnerships. 
  4. In partnership with the Product Program Manager and team assists in development of online training modules, manuals, Product Program policies, newsletters, and other communication materials to ensure high quality training of leaders. 
  5. Along with the Product Program Team, works with product program vendors, delivery agents, and all other outside entities to ensure efficient and effective product program experiences for Girl Scouts and volunteers. 
  6. Supports the collection of revenues for Cookie Program in the Fort Worth area.
  7. Keeps abreast of GSUSA Product Program changes through webinars and meetings. 


Girl Experience Responsibilities

  1. Develops and maintains relationships with key community partners, corporate partners, and vendors that can deliver programming who share our commitment to encouraging girls to ask questions about the world, to problem solve, and to use their natural creativity and experience. 
  2. Designs, plans, facilitates, and evaluates programming to promote Girl Scouting through a wide array of diverse program offerings for youth between the ages of 5 and 18 years utilizing the GSTOP logic models with a focus on expected outcomes, while staying within a budget.
  3. Partners with area volunteers to provide high quality entrepreneurship programming in conjunction with Fall, Cookie, STEM, Museum and various Girl Event programs. 
  4. Assesses needs of Girl Scouts and plans programs to respond to those needs through program experiences.
  5. Fully develops a variety of progressive girl programming. 
  6. Works with the Girl Experience Team to plan, develop, and implement a cohesive program plan to drive girl engagement and retention efforts 
  7. Keeps current with educational trends, adhering to GSUSA guidelines for youth learning and development.


General Responsibilities

  1. Ensures safety, risk management, & loss prevention procedures are followed by girls, caregivers, and volunteers as well as provide crisis management support, as needed. 
  2. Works collaboratively with all GSTOP departments to develop promotional and support strategies both internally and externally for the assigned area(s). 
  3. Provides high quality support to all internal and external customers by behaviors demonstrating the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
  4. Responds to all correspondence (emails and Salesforce cases) timely.
  5. Travels between GSTOP service areas as needed.
  6. Participates in Council work and/or other cross functional team projects as assigned. 
  7. Attends required meetings to listen, collaborate, learn and develop strategies around council initiatives.  
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Product Program Manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS - - Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or any combination of relevant education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
  2. Proven ability to work with staff, volunteers, third-party vendors, and other businesses.
  3. Commitment to the mission and purpose of Girl Scouting.
  4. Membership in the Girl Scouts organization.
  5. Must be willing to work with all persons without regard to race, religion, ethnic origin, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
  6. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
  7. Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
  8. Availability for most weekends and some evenings is required during the Cookie Program in January and February annually. Occasional weekends overnight are also required for girl reward events in April and May.
  9.   13. Technical Skills: experience in Salesforce is a plus; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to utilize with fluency the Internet and other technical computer skills in GSTOP systems.
  14. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  15. Have and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, acceptable insurance, and reliable transportation.
  16. Must complete and pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.
