Colony Display is searching for sales leaders in creating custom retail displays, fixtures, and commercial environments. We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help drive sales growth within our target markets. Servicing the northeastern United States you will play a key role in expanding our business across multiple product lines and services. You’ll identify new opportunities to build relationships, and close deals to contribute to the overall success of our company. Responsibilities:

  • Master Our Product Portfolio: Learn and present Colony’s full range of products, with a focus on Custom Store Fixtures, Shop-In-Shop, and POP/Visual Merchandising displays. 
  • Create Targeted Sales Plans: Develop sales strategies tailored to target accounts and markets, emphasizing Customer Store Fixtures and Shop-in-Ship Solutions. 
  • Drive Account Pursuit: Pursue target accounts, establish and continuously build relationships to gather insight and collaborate with internal teams to craft winning proposals and presentations. 
  • Utilize Diverse Sales Techniques: Engage prospects using phone, email, direct mail, networking, public speaking, and more to create new business opportunities. 
  • Manage Incoming Opportunities: Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and inquiries, evaluating each to maximize potential and align with the client’s needs. 
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with internal teams to align on project requirements, timetables, budget, and delivery to ensure client satisfaction. 
  • Report on Progress: Provide weekly updates on meetings, opportunities, project development, and forecasts to drive strategic insights. 

These are illustrative duties, and the awarded candidate will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the accounting team to respond effectively to leadership and business requirements.

Requirements
  • Degree or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on work experience. 
  • Sales Pro: 7 to 10 years of Sales Management experience with a record of driving brand growth and sealing the deal. 
  • Relationship Rockstar: Skilled in building connections, networking creatively and delivering standout presentations. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident with Microsoft Office and Salesforce; familiarity with the store fixture or retail/apparel industries is a plus. 
  • On the Move: Travel-ready to connect with clients and drive business growth. 
  • Detail-Oriented Team Player: Eye for detail, positive mindset, and loves collaborating. 
  • Fast-Paced Performer: Thrives in a dynamic environment with a can-do attitude. 
  • Communication Champ: Excellent with words—written, spoken, and everything in between.
