Job Summary:


FilterEasy is looking for an experienced Business Partner to support the growth of our intercompany and external Partnerships channel. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, be adept at financial analysis, and possess the ability to communicate complex accounting and finance concepts effectively to business stakeholders. This role demands a deep understanding of accounting principles (supported by work experience) and the ability to provide strategic financial insights and support to drive business performance. 

The candidate will have highly developed communication skills coupled with proven analysis abilities to form active and productive partnerships. Understanding of the audience will be a critical part of the communication process.

The role presents an exciting opportunity and growth potential within a rapidly expanding channel. It will report to the VP of Finance with a dotted line to the Head of Accounting and work closely with the organization's leadership team.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial and data reporting for the Partnerships channel's financial operations. 
  • Establish and maintain a business relationship with relevant Partnerships points of contact.
  • Lead operational and accounting discussions with business stakeholders to provide the appropriate feedback to Partners and the internal Accounting and Finance team.


Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present detailed financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on Partnerships-related projects, reviewing historical financial data to identify and rectify any inaccuracies or inconsistencies.
  • Identify and drive improvements in financial and accounting processes and controls and assist in financial audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and accounting issues related to intercompany transactions.
  • Build and maintain relevant Partnerships channel reporting data on pricing, billing, payments, customer-level performance, agreement compliance, etc.
  • Provide insights into the channel’s financial performance, variances, and trends.
  • Develop a revamped monthly billing system for our Partnerships channel accounting.
  • Perform other related accounting and finance duties as assigned and lead ad-hoc internal projects to support the finance team.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various departments
  • Strong accounting and data reconciliation skills
  • Advanced Excel skills 


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related Finance degree 
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong emphasis on accounting 
  • Proven experience in a business partnering or project management role with the ability to interpret and communicate accounting and business information
  • Consulting background is a plus 
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • PMP Certification a plus


Salary Description
$70,000 - $100,000
