JOB OVERVIEW

Work with builders, remodelers and homeowners assisting in the loading and selection of products to fit their need. Seek to maintain long-standing relationships with current customer base and identify new opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist customers correctly chose products, locate, and load safely onto/into vehicle

· Make simple cuts of material per customer specification all other cuts are brought to shop for assistance

· Manually restock material to maintain proper level of stock. Notify drive thru supervisor when levels are getting low and back stock is needed from location requiring forklift 

· Continually seek to learn about new products and improve selling skills. Attend vendor and outside sourced training seminars to sharpen skills. Remain well informed about industry shifts through vendors, customers and/or trade magazines.

· Share knowledge of new products, pricing or customer needs to department heads and team members

· If necessary, check out customers at security gate to ensure they have the correct quantity and product on vehicle.

· Maintain a clean work area

· Exercise the ability to balance the workload while continuing to help prioritize walk in customers and phone calls.

· Maintain a positive team player attitude and act as a mentor to other in your department and throughout the organization

· Always us best judgement thinking of what is best for you team members as well as the company and when in doubt ask supervisor or another team member for assistance

· If information is not at hand, do everything withing your power to assure customer you will find the correct information and in a reasonable amount of time and if phone call needed, notify supervisor to contact customer 

· Handle customer complaints quickly and call on your department head to work out best solutions together.

· Flat stack products, sweep, dispose of trash, keep area clean.

· Refill Propane tanks and the use of cardboard baler using all safety protocols

· When needed assist drivers in unloading material at job sites.

· Come prepared to work each day with tape measure, knife, pencil, work boots

· Other duties as instructed by management

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

· Must be able to lift to 100 lbs.

· Professional appearance

· Promotes teamwork within the organization

· Work independently and resourcefully

· Minimum high school education and/or GED equivalent

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position
