Mechanical Technician

Storage Solutions is an established company in the Material Handling Industry.  We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Mechanical Technician in Nashville, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Kansas City and Indianapolis. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with initiative to supplement our growing team.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Will install conveyor systems and/or any logistical structure for distribution purposes.

• Will perform preventative maintenance and respond to customer site issues.

• Travel up to 80% of the year.

• Fabricate and prepare for projects.

• Make travel arrangements for out of town projects.

• Read and interpret drawings and communicate with project managers and engineers.

• Solve problems and come up with quick solutions.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Must be mechanically inclined. (Use of hand tools, power tools and quick measuring) 

• Fabrication knowledge and blueprint reading. (steel work and creative conveyor solutions.)

• Electrical knowledge is a plus. Will work with mostly DC low voltage wiring. (Will work with both mechanical and electrical components)

• Must be able to operate heavy machinery including: forklifts, scissor lifts and man lifts.

• Ability to weld is a plus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• valid drivers license 

• transportation to Nashville office.

• pass or obtain safety certifications 

• mechanical hand tools (power tools provided)

WORK CONDITIONS

· Willingness to travel 75-90% within the United States.

· Ability to work overtime as-needed while on feet during shifts up to 12 hours.

· Ability to work in environments that may be noisy, low-light and not temperature controlled.
