Job Summary:

The Shop Floor Supervisor will hold a valid Airframe and Power plant license and are responsible to the Accountable Manager of the Repair Station and to the airworthiness of the aircraft and components maintained by AirNet II. This position is a combination of work on the shop floor and office duties.


Responsibilities:

  • Hold a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate.
  • Coordinates with the Accountable Manager on the timely communication and correction of mechanical repairs of the work in the shop.
  • Provides the Accountable Manager with the current airworthiness status of aircraft in the shop, forecasting downtimes to facilitate maintenance scheduling at optimal times and ensure timely deferral or correction of aircraft discrepancies
  • Working with maintenance vendors and suppliers, plan and oversee maintenance events to reduce downtime and costs while maintaining regulatory compliance and maintenance quality.
  • Familiar in maintaining all necessary records and logbooks, including certification in the aircraft permanent maintenance records that the aircraft is approved and returned to service
  • Work with fleet OEMs on technical efforts to increase fleet reliability and operational performance. Responsible for developing, executing, measuring, and communicating operational goals to drive efficiencies into maintenance performance. 
  • Assist in the oversite of the Maintenance Control operation and team members to ensure they meet performance standards and adhere to all corporate policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensures all maintenance performed on work in the shop is accomplished in accordance with the company's Repair Station Manual and customer requirements.
  • Assures all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable CFR's. Evaluate team member performance and complete performance evaluations. Ensure team member operational performance and lead efforts for constant improvement. 
  • Ensure proper planning for future maintenance events is accomplished. 
  • Maintain aircraft compliance with approved fleet maintenance programs and supports the development and execution of the specialized maintenance programs.
  • Assist in monitoring and updating training programs as regulations and company procedures change. 
  • Assist in overseeing all inspections, repairs, and component changes and accompanying documentation are accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer or FAA approved procedures, conforming to quality control standards, on schedule, and in compliance with FAA regulations
  • Will assist with communications and liaison with local FAA Personnel. Provide guidance to MOC Controllers on regulatory and RTS requirements. Ensure adequate fleet reporting to provide performance awareness. 
  • Coordinate maintenance, which may be required away from the home base with the aircraft. crews, Flight Operations, and contract maintenance facilities. 
  • Coordinate maintenance on aircraft assigned. 
  • Assist the company's recordkeeping procedures. 
  • Acts as primary point of contact with flight crews on maintenance discrepancies related to the aircraft and write-up process for each aircraft when the Accountable Manager is out.
  • All other duties assigned in support of the Accountable Manager and aircraft management.

  Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years of experience with a certified airframe repair station, including 1 year in the capacity of approving aircraft for return to service. 
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and task management skills. Must be computer proficient with experience using Microsoft Office 365. 
  • Must be a clear and concise verbal and written communicator. 
  • Must be able to travel.
