Purpose and Scope:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality Control and Assurance with 5-7 years of expertise in managing and overseeing quality assurance processes, ensuring that our programs adhere to the company best practices in program management, delivery management, product management, and engineering management. The Director of Quality Control and Assurance also leads our tailored approach and implementation of quality guidelines and standards such as ISO, CMMI, CAA, and CMMC. The ideal candidate will possess strong change management skills, have a keen eye for detail, and be adept at ensuring that all work products meet the highest standards before delivery. This role will involve conducting peer reviews of program artifacts and documentation, as well as managing customer satisfaction through rigorous inspection and quality control processes. Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control and Assurance: Develop eSimplicity quality control and quality assurance best practices that are guided by ISO, CMMI, and CMMC. Collaborate with practice directors to ensure quality control and assurance guidelines, including best practices in program management, delivery management, product management, and engineering management, are implemented across all programs.  
  • Audit Management: Lead and manage audits for ISO, CMMI, and CMMC certifications, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. 
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality control and assurance best practices, ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to uphold quality standards. 
  • Change Management: Implement and manage change management processes to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout all projects. 
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that all deliverables meet the agreed-upon quality standards. 
  • Work Product Inspection: Perform scheduled and/or random inspections on work products and processes to ensure they meet the company's quality standards. 
  • Quarterly Program Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of every program on a quarterly basis, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards. 
  • Project Rotation: Rotate monthly to focus on different projects or groups of projects, bringing fresh insights and maintaining high standards across the board. 
  • Documentation: Manage and maintain quality documentation using SharePoint or Confluence pages, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all quality processes. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality management across the organization. 
Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Technology or a related field.  
  • Experience leading quality control and assurance for Government Contract companies that focus on full life cycle development of enterprise systems/products and/or services (e.g., cloud management, operations support). 
  • Experience delivering product development and release management in agile. Experience in agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git. 
  • Ability to negotiate and tailor flexible solutions and approaches to a specific program/customer/team while playing an assertive role to ensure quality standards and guidelines are met.  
  • 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.  
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality management, with a focus on ISO, CMMI, and CMMC audits. 
  • Proven experience in change management and quality assurance, particularly in a technology or software development environment. 
  • Strong understanding of inspection vs. delivery processes and the importance of rigorous quality control. 
  • Proficiency in using SharePoint for document management or Confluence pages for quality documentation. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously. 
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.   
  • Ability to interact and interface effectively across the organization and with key stakeholders    
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information   
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills    
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)   
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills    

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a technology or government contracting environment. 
  • Familiarity with the latest industry trends and best practices in quality management.  
  • Certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, CMMI Associate/Lead Appraiser, Certified Quality Engineer) 

Working Environment:

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
