We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Business Development to spearhead our growth and expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in business development within the clinical research industry, with a focus on dermatology and experience working with pharmaceutical sponsors. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth for our clinical research services.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth in the dermatology sector. 
  • Identify and target potential pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs for clinical research opportunities. 
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for expansion within the dermatological space. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential pharmaceutical sponsors. 
  • Lead proposal and study negotiations discussions, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. 
  • Provide exceptional client service and support throughout the lifecycle of projects to ensure client satisfaction and retention. 
  • Represent ObjectiveHealth at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that highlight our expertise and capabilities in dermatology. 
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients and stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with internal teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and project management, to ensure alignment and successful project execution. 
  • Provide insights and feedback to help refine our service offerings and improve operational efficiencies. 
  • Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue performance. 
  • Set and track performance metrics to achieve business development goals and objectives. 

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development, with a strong focus on the clinical research industry and dermatology. 
  • Proven track record of successful client acquisition and relationship management with pharmaceutical sponsors. 
  • Deep understanding of the clinical research process, regulatory requirements, and dermatology-specific research trends. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
