Senior Copywriter

Summary

The Senior Copywriter produces bold, strategic, persuasive ideas and messages in all media for Agency clients and for the agency. The Senior Copywriter is conceptual and brings fresh ideas to any project. This role writes copy from conception to completion to promote the sale of goods and service for all kinds of offline and online channels like print, broadcast, video, social, website, digital, and more. The Senior Copywriter is familiar with award winning and inspiring work in the industry.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops concepts in all media
  • Writes advertising copy in all media.
  • Collaborate with senior art personnel to ensure creation of consistent strategies and original advertising.
  • Participates in shaping strategy.
  • Detects vital disconnects and informs senior creative personnel prior to beginning copy.
  • Delivers presentations to senior creative and/or account personnel.
  • Maintains communication with senior art personnel concerning status of jobs.
  • Creates and completes projects on time and within budget constraints.


Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field required.
  • Six or more years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Writing experience in all media required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software


Leadership Responsibilities:

Does not supervise the work of others.


Work Environment:

Normal office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
