GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: On shift support to troubleshoot and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and automation issues

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Troubleshoot pneumatics and instrumentation issues.
  • Press and robot troubleshooting, in conjunction with Maintenance and Process Technicians, as needed to assist with major issues. 
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues, expert in wiring/re-wiring, and reading schematics.
  • Provide PLC assistance with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and trending of control systems.
  • Respond to all Quality and Operator issues regarding parts and processes.

Requirements

  

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with pneumatic and Hydraulic systems and their interaction with PLC's and automated machinery
  • Proficient in repairs of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
  • Experience with PLC programming modifications.
  • Proficient with PLC5, SLC500, RSLogix 5000, and familiar with other controllers.
  • Proficient in trouble shooting automated systems, schematics & wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled in electrical applications 
  • Problem Solving
  • Plastic Injection Molding experience is a plus.
