The Business Development Representative’s primary role is to help support the Strategic Account Managers/direct sales team’s objectives related to the procurement of new clients. Responsibilities include prospecting for new customers leads, new leads outreach and communication, maintenance of leads database, and support for other new business initiatives. He or she will be responsible for consistent achievement of all assigned performance objectives/KPIs, such as meeting goals or lead entry within the CRM. Essential functions include:


What you’ll do: 

  • Sourcing of new client opportunities to support sales team objectives for quota attainment.

Managing and nurturing inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential buyers.  Executing a communication strategy for warm leads in our CRM system.  Dissecting and qualifying prospects’ business goals to determine if Managed Solution can be a strategic investment for their business. Partner with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategy. Support sales team on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts.  Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the Strategic Account Managers. 

  • Identifying and promoting Managed Solution to the community at large.  

A true networking ninja, the Business Development Representative identifies opportunities to engage relevant C-level contacts and uses social selling techniques to open doors for sales, channel relationships, speaking engagements, and more.  

  • Leveraging the analytics of our contact management system to ensure that Marketing Qualified Leads are followed up with and nurtured.  

Adheres closely to established processes for reviewing marketing campaigns and website traffic analytics to identify warm contacts.  Utilizes information from these analytics to guide follow up strategies and conversations with prospective customers.  He or she will also use a social selling methodology to approach these contacts in LinkedIn to continue engagement with the Managed Solution brand and to develop a relationship with the contact. 

  • Provide meticulous support for the sales team to ensure a seamless sales experience for clients.

Work with the team to provide support in creating sales proposals. Track, identify and add qualified prospects to the sales pipeline.  Ensure that deals, contacts, companies are entered into HubSpot and tied to the appropriate team member with all available information completed in HubSpot per Company policy. 

Additionally, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for complying with all Company and departmental policies, and for other projects/duties as assigned.

  • Exceptional written (English), verbal (English), and interpersonal communication skills, including the abilities to quickly develop rapport and to build/maintain relationships with a diverse group of individuals, including C-level executives 
  • Polished presentation skills, experience developing impactful trainings, and a passion for sharing information 
  • Experience developing and executing social sales marketing campaign from start to finish 
  • Strong proficiency with sales/marketing tools: Microsoft Outlook/O365, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft HubSpot CRM 
  • Proven willingness and ability to research and find the right answer and self-teach new/emerging marketing tools/trends 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex processes with limited oversight.

Office + Travel Requirements: Presence in our office, based in San Diego, CA, will be required as needed to perform this job successfully. Very occasional travel may be required to represent Managed Solution at trade shows, events, conferences, etc., as assigned. This position may work remotely from a home office in San Diego County as approved. 

Requirements

Monday through Friday, hours to be agreed upon based on Company needs. Presence at Company events, client meetings, conferences, and other activities may require occasional work mornings, evenings, and/or weekends. Company operates in Pacific Time Zone, though some scheduling flexibility may be offered for employees in other regions.  


Work Location/Remote Status: This position is eligible for remote work, within a state where Managed Solution has payroll operations. Employees will work from a home office within an assigned state. Your presence at our company headquarters in San Diego, CA; at meetings/conferences/off-site events; at client locations; or elsewhere, may be required on occasion. 

 

Compensation & Benefits*

Base Wage Range: $29.00 to $36.00 per hour 

Managed Solution considers a range of factors when determining an appropriate wage. Such factors include but are not limited to: years of related experience, industry knowledge, formal education, relevant certifications, and geographic location. Wages are paid as earned and in accordance with Company policies. 


Incentive Compensation Plan: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with its respective plan and Company policy. Details available during the interview process.
