We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to serve as our Manager of Social Media. This person will have five or more years of experience working within the social media space, preferably collaborating with the world’s biggest brands and top-tier talent on cutting edge campaigns. Most importantly, this person must have experience working in live events while also possessing a passion for golf and know the ins and outs of the sport. 


This person will be responsible for developing and executing the social media content strategies for TGL presented by SoFi, and will work with various internal and external partners, including the social leads for each of our six TGL presented by SoFi teams. This role is fast-paced, strategic, data driven and focused on execution. It requires excellent people skills, a creative mindset, and an expert understanding of how to create and produce effective organic social media content. This person must have experience capturing the excitement and drama of live sports and bringing them to our social audience in real time. 


This role is highly collaborative both within the marketing organization, as well as across other functions in the business.

    

Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with internal Digital, Marketing, PR and Creative teams as well as other key stakeholders to develop social copy and content for TGL presented by SoFi platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Publish best-in-class social copy and content across all relevant platforms and oversee community management
  • Ideate, coordinate and produce social copy and content from direct resources, shared resources, agencies and partners, and develop daily, weekly and monthly content plans across platform
  • Being able to create and edit content at shoots or during live events through capturing unique content via phone or camera or using templates from creative team in Photoshop and or After Effects
  • Work with top talent across categories (golf, sport, entertainment, business) to create social content
  • Understand wider business needs across internal teams (Partnerships, Venue Operations, Marketing, etc.) and how social amplification and content creation can support those needs
  • Develop social media content calendars for TGL presented by SoFi, as well as coordination with TGL social leads across our six teams
  • Work with the TGL Partnerships team to develop sponsorable social content opportunities
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of current social media and digital media trends, adjusting TGL strategy accordingly and capitalizing on real-time opportunities
  • Collaborate with golf organizations including PGA Tour, USGA and PGA of America to maximize reach of social content  
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in social content creation, planning and strategy across platforms (including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok)
  • Must have experience working in live sports events
  • Must have experience working in the golf industry, along with a strong knowledge of the game
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite including Photoshop and After Effects
  • Able to capture unique content via phone or camera to use in creation and editing of content 
  • Experience with social media monetization
  • Experience using analytics to monitor and report on the success of social content strategies
  • Adept at using various social media publishing tools (Sprout Social, Hubspot, etc) and social intelligence tools 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a mobile/social first mindset
  • Demonstrable experience working with top-tier talent on social campaigns
  • Ability to ideate collaboratively and as an individual, as well as guide creative execution for direct reports, shared resources, agencies and partners.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment is a plus 
  • Must be available nights and weekends during season and as needed


Location  

This role is based either at our headquarters in Winter Park, FL or Palm Beach, FL.
