The aim of the Trailer Welder/Fabricator is to assemble fabricated aluminum parts utilizing a MIG welder and welding techniques in a manner that maximizes the design, quality and performance. 

Duties/Expectations:

• Uses MIG welder to weld fabricated steel and aluminum parts to for trailer according to factory specifications and work order
• Set-up and operate welding machines 
• Utilize tools and measuring instruments to position and align sub-assemblies, parts and raw materials in jigs or fixtures
• Produces strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent
• Grind, file and buff welds  to remove slag 

Must demonstrate proficiency in welding by passing weld test
