Department: Food and Beverage
Reports to: Banquet Manager, Banquet Captain
General Purpose:
To provide outstanding levels of service and continually look for ways in which to add to the member experience throughout all meal periods and all member and guest interactions.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout the shift. Adress members by their last name and appropriate title or honorific.
- Maintains a “members first” mentality
- Attends pre-shift meetings
- Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
- Provides immediate attention to all members as required/appropriate
- Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station.
- Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Clears dishes after courses and performs consistent table maintenance consistent with the type of service being performed.
- Cleans all assigned work areas during and after functions
- Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur
- Assists in closing functions such as removing linen, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for next function.
- Consistently follows all food safety-related requirements.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain or F&B Managers
- Knows basic cocktails and wines by the glass
- Demonstrates basic wine knowledge and wine service
- Assists other team members and positions where practical or needed
Education/Experience: Minimum Requirements
Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
Preferred Requirements/Skillset
- 12 Months of banquet service in a country club or resort environment
- Excellent verbal communication
- Ability to execute a variety of service types- Russian, French, American, etc.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, tastes, smells, talks, listens, uses hands, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Available to work flexible hours.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals and in extreme heat or cold (non-weather). Noise level is moderate.

- Cellphones may not be used in certain work areas or specific periods and you may be required to store your phone should it be required by management.
Certificates/Licenses:
Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training.
RBS or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training
This position is seasonal.
