Ready for a career change that puts you in the driver’s seat—literally? We're seeking reliable and dedicated individuals to join our school bus driving team. This is an hourly, benefits eligible, 12-month, position that reports to the Transportation Supervisor.
The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, field trips, late bus routes and other school-related activities. This position requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with both “P” and “S” endorsement

Safety
- Operate the school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment
- Supervise student behavior on the bus and implement appropriate disciplinary measures
Transportation
- Transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities according to established routes and schedules
- Ensure that all students are properly seated and secured before driving
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Compliance
- Comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to school bus operations
- Attend required training and professional development sessions
Working Conditions
- Work hours may vary, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Exposure to varying weather condition
- Frequent interaction with children and parents
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach

The pay for this position is $27.00 per hour. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex, gender or gender identity, but relates solely to a seniority system, a merit system, or relevant education, training and/or experience. Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available, as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
