Description

SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide administrative oversight to fabrication and construction contracts supporting the Chrysalis, a first-of-a-kind medical isotope facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. The Procurement Specialist will accomplish this through supporting requests for proposal, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and issuing contracts. This position ensures timely acquisitions of products or services from known vendors to prevent delays to schedule. The Procurement Specialist will regularly interface with Construction, Engineering, and Project Management groups to expedite and drive procurement administration functions. This is an individual contributor project position effective through commercial operations of the Chrysalis. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interfacing with Construction and Engineering groups regarding the technical and constructability evaluations to inform procurement strategies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of requests for proposals, bid tabulation, bid evaluation, and bid award. Provides notification to bidders on award and rejections.
  • Assisting in contract development for engineering, fabrication, and construction contracts.
  • Executing contracts and purchase orders with approved vendors, including foreign companies.
  • Issuing purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, scheduler, terms and conditions as negotiated
  • Coordinating construction walkdowns to inform bidding process, as required.
  • Coordinating shipping and deliveries to SHINE facilities. 
  • Resolving simple claim or dispute events with vendors. 
  • Establishing effective communications, good relations, and positive rapport with vendors, promoting courtesy, objectivity, and fairness.
  • Filing appropriate record documents with Document Control.
  • Providing input to portions of new and/or revised procedures or documents to optimize procurement processes.


Requirements
  • Associate degree in engineering, supply chain or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or years of experience preferred 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and SAP Concur a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to take directions as well as think independently
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for contract development and implementation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
