Director of Business Development & Partnerships
Fully Remote
Description

About Us

Cambium is a supply chain technology company enabling wood waste utilization programs across the United States. Cambium’s Impact team works with governments, NGOs, and private landowners to design and implement place-based wood utilization programs that promote environmental justice, adaptive management of natural resources, and support overall climate resiliency. Since 2020 we have collaborated on the development of more than a dozen biomass reuse initiatives with urban and peri-urban forest managers across the United States.

We are looking for a Director of Business Development & Partnerships to foster new projects and partnerships within Cambium’s Impact team. This role focuses on the development of both project-based partnerships and long-term relationships with a diverse array of forest managers (including governments, private landowners, and non-profit organizations).

The Director of Business Development & Partnerships will focus on initiating new opportunities for Cambium to engage in the design and implementation of wood utilization programs – including feasibility assessment, program design, and build-out of necessary infrastructure and training programs. This position will be responsible for communicating Cambium’s consulting and technical assistance services, identifying potential project partners and locations, and securing funding (where necessary) for implementation.

The ideal candidate has a deep background in relevant forestry work, and a strong track record of standing up new programs – from initial design through funding and implementation. We are looking for a growth-minded strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of both Cambium and its project partners.

Our team operates nationally, with a headquarters in Baltimore, MD. This role is open to hybrid and remote applicants.
