The Quality Control Inspector is expected to perform essential duties that maintain an effective quality system and ensure product quality. This position will support the company’s goal of ensuring compliance with applicable FDA and ISO regulations. 

  • Accurately records incoming raw materials and randomly pulls samples for inspection.  
  • Inspects items to parameters listed on drawings or quality specification sheets. 
  • Is adept in utilizing pin gauges, rulers, micrometers, snap gauges, calipers, microscopes, and other inspection equipment. Initiates nonconforming material reports or receiving rejection notices for all items not meeting their appropriate specifications.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs. 
  • Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production manager and quality engineer for Non-Conformance.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs or calibration.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulatory regulation including Production and process controls.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience in a regulated industry preferred 
  • Experience as QC Inspector or Technician with electro-mechanical instruments and components preferred 
  • Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments 
  • Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment 
  • Ability to understand technical documents and communicate effectively 
  • Associates degree or 5+ years work experience 
  • Certified Quality Inspector a Plus
