Summary
Design and develop GUI-based programs for Windows, Linux, embedded Linux, and VxWorks operating systems for military and commercial aerospace applications. Embedded programming for low level hardware interfaces between I2C, SPI, and other bus or I/O devices.
This Internship is for Summer 2025. There may also be opportunities for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.
Design and develop GUI-based test programs that interface with test equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, meters, etc.)
Develop application and software libraries to support NAI board products for Windows, Linux and VxWorks operating systems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
At least 60 Credits toward a Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree with embedded software development (preferably embedded Linux and VxWorks).
One year of engineering and/or programming experience a plus.
Understanding of software engineering, procedural and object-oriented programming concepts.
Language Skills
C, C++, C#, GUI programming, Object-Oriented design and programming, TCP/UDP Ethernet Programming, Windows and Linux.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, and possess a high degree of curiosity and desire to learn new things.
Microsoft Office, Words and Excel.
Ability to work with hardware to debug test programs.
Part-time schedules for internships during: Fall, Winter & Spring.
Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.
Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
