Description
As a Bank Branch Teller at Community Savings, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service and performing a range of financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. You will assist customers with their banking needs, handle cash and checks, and ensure a positive experience at our branch. This position is currently offered at part-time hours, with a minimum of 25 hrs. per week.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly, address their inquiries and provide information about banking products and services. Ensure a positive and professional customer experience at all times.
- Perform a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing. Accurately handle and balance cash drawers.
- Assist customers with account-related issues, including account openings, closings, and updates. Provide information about account balances, statements, and transactions.
- Adhere to all banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information. Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the Branch Manager.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally. Escalate complex issues to the Branch Manager when necessary.
- Promote and cross-sell bank products and services that meet customer needs, such as savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions. Ensure proper documentation and filing in accordance with bank policies.
- Work closely with other tellers and branch staff to achieve branch goals and support overall team performance.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in banking, retail, or customer service roles preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in basic mathematics and handling cash.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems is a plus.
