Role Responsibilities

T/CCI is looking to grow our Decatur, IL based organization. In support of our growth and new market opportunities, the Company is seeking to hire a Computer Engineering Intern to support and learn within our Electric Compressor, Mechanical Compressor, and H/VAC Systems Engineering teams. In this role, the Computer Engineering Intern will work with internal stakeholders inside our Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the Company produces a high-quality product that meets the needs of our customers. Additionally, this role will work with customers, end users, and at times, our suppliers, to help them develop solutions that meet their manufacturing, design, and applications needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Software Development: Assisting with coding, debugging, and testing software applications. This might involve working with languages like Python, Java, C++, or C# on various projects.
  • Hardware Design and Testing: Helping design and test computer hardware components or systems. This could include working with circuit design, PCB layout, or integration of hardware with software.
  • System Integration: Assisting in integrating hardware and software components to ensure they work together effectively. This could involve writing drivers or interfacing software with hardware systems.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing data from experiments, performance tests, or user interactions. This might involve using tools and software to process and interpret data to make informed decisions or improvements.
  • Documentation: Contributing to the documentation of designs, code, and testing procedures. Proper documentation is essential for tracking progress and facilitating communication within the team.
  • Prototyping: Assisting in building and testing prototypes of hardware or software systems. This could involve assembling hardware components, writing test scripts, or setting up test environments.


Key Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering from a accredited four year university

· Strong documentation and communication skills

· Demonstrable leadership skills exhibited through school clubs, volunteer experiences, and general attitude

· Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


Preferred Qualifications

· Former work experience or collegiate project experience working with publicly traded or privately held companies

· Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills


Education

Pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering from an accredited four year university
