Now Hiring: Superintendent – Civil Site Construction


We are looking for a skilled Superintendent to oversee the field planning and production of civil construction projects. As a Superintendent, you will play a vital role in coordinating and managing day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Vice President of Operations to execute tasks efficiently and maintain safety compliance on all construction sites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage field operations for residential subdivision and commercial site development projects to meet and Exceed project schedule, budget, and safety requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate underground utilities installation of storm, sewer, water, and reclaim pipe.
  • Organize and plan work with project team to meet contract, schedule, and quality requirements including safety action plans.
  • Review contracts, project documentation and plans to ensure work in the field is built to specifications.
  • Oversee field personnel, schedules and all construction operations on site.
  • Manage field operations and coordinate with other personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Foreman and their crews.
  • Responsible for job performance, safety audits, and enforcing company policies and procedures including training, orientation, discipline, etc.
  • Attend progress meetings with the project team as needed.
  • Lead safety meetings, enforcing safety procedures with crew.
  • Other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Construction: 7 years (Required)
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: 7 years (Required)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil construction is preferred
  • Must have the ability to use read and interpret drawings, use laser levels, figure grades, and compute rate, ratio and percentage as needed
  • Ability to operate and train employees on heavy equipment (Required)
  • Ability to manage and enforce safety and company policies with Foreman and crew members
  • Must possess the ability to work in confined spaces
  • First Aid / CPR Training preferred
  • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour for Construction training (Preferred)
  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule to meet project schedule and location requirements
  • Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy
  • Maintain flexibility with changing deadlines and a fast-paced environment, as quired by workload and business priorities
  • Must have the ability to handle situations independently and in a calm, positive manner
  • Bilingual a plus
