  • 10+ years of experience supporting Department of Homeland Security
  • Ability to travel to the Reston, VA office a min of 2x per week


The Gist…

Our Senior Vice President will report to our CEO and support our Growth and corporate initiatives. This role will leverage extensive governmental experience and relationships to provide   strategic advice to our leadership, guiding our interactions with government  entities, and identifying new business opportunities focused on government missions.


What Your Day Might Include…

  • Leverage   established relationships within the government to open doors and facilitate   introductions, ensuring smooth and effective communication between our organization and government entities outside 
  • Stay updated on government policies, regulations, and legislative changes that could impact our business and   provide timely advice to leadership.
  • Provide insights and recommendations before customer meetings, identifying key issues and opportunities to tailor   presentations effectively.
  • Advise on the best practices for presenting to government officials, ensuring our approach is respectful, compliant, and   compelling.
  • Offer guidance on communication strategies, including language and tone, when interacting with high-level government   personnel.
  • Provide strategic business insights and advice from the perspective of a business owner, ensuring alignment with corporate   decision-making processes.
  • Identify and analyze new business opportunities within the government sector, focusing on alignment with   government missions and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to understand government needs, trends, and procurement cycles, advising on potential areas   for growth.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to develop proposals and bids that meet government requirements and standards.
  • Offer strategic guidance to the CTO and Delivery teams on government perception of our capabilities and help shape   the value proposition presented to our customers.
  • Drive organizational growth by leveraging existing strengths and capabilities, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions to address them.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on  product enhancements or new offerings based on government feedback and   requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops or brainstorming sessions to explore how our current capabilities can be adapted or expanded to better   serve government customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies and campaigns targeting government customers.


Success Metrics

  • Growth: Measurable growth within the organization through the leveraging of current strengths and capabilities. Identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the government sector. Enhanced relationships and successful interactions with   government entities.
  • Executive Leadership: Successfully provide strategic business insights and advice from the perspective of a business owner,  ensuring alignment with corporate decision-making processes.
  • Capabilities: Deliver actionable, data-driven insights to the CTO and Delivery teams, shaping the perception of our capabilities within the government sector and refining the value proposition for our customers. Partner with clients to understand their needs and lead collaborative brainstorming sessions with the Amivero solutions team. Act as a government product manager, steering the development of customized, mission-aligned solutions.
  • Delivery: Apply leadership expertise to provide strategic direction and support to the Delivery team’s leadership, ensuring successful implementation and continuous improvement of solutions where necessary.



Requirements

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications…

  • US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust (as necessary)
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Department of Homeland Security
  • Deep understanding of government operations, missions, and procurement processes.
  • Proven advisory and strategic planning skills, with a proven track record in government relations and business development.
  • Demonstrated passion for coaching and mentoring, particularly in supporting women in leadership roles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to organizational growth.
