Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer II to join our industry-leading, cloud computing team. This is a fully remote role, and the duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to:
- Build, script, and test Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to apply security configuration(s) to cloud resources upon (or after) deployment.
- Write IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services (Google, Oracle, Akamai, AWS, and Azure).
- Provide cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
- Secure cloud service and application resources according to industry standards and cloud provider best practices and collects and provides evidence for security baseline adherence.
- Prepare operating instructions, compiles documentation of IaC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of IaC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Work within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.
Minimum Candidate Requirements
- Candidate must be US Citizen
- Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
- Candidate must have an active 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Candidate must have at least 10 years of related experience to include Cloud services (Google, Oracle, Akamai, AWS, and Azure).
- Candidate must have experience in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Candidate must have experience with Kubernetes.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Capable of obtaining relevant DoD 8140 IAM professional certification.
- Bachelor's degree.
Workspace Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
