Job purpose: Senior Directors at ClassLink see their team as their product. While they are technically credible and know the details of what engineers work on, their time is spent safeguarding their team’s health, hiring a world-class team, and putting them in the best position to succeed. They own the delivery of product commitments and consistently seek to improve productivity. 


Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Director of LaunchPad who will coordinate across departments to accomplish 

collaborative goals. Senior Directors will often be given ambiguous, ill-defined problems with the implicit goal of gaining clarity and driving execution/direction. Senior Directors are responsible for mentoring and managing other leaders in the organization and generally have Senior Managers or Directors reporting to them.  Specifically, the Senior Director of LaunchPad manages these ClassLink products: LaunchPad Core, LaunchPad Portals, AUTH Cloud, AUTH Windows, Mobile, and all legacy LaunchPad products.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum engineering environment and deliver incremental product software with high quality. 
  • Lead a team of product managers, senior product managers, scrum masters, and senior scrum masters to develop and deliver high-quality products that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, back-end engineering, data science, and QA, to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and usability.
  • Drive product innovation by staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in product management and Agile Scrum practices.
  • Develop and maintain a strong engineering culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Hire, train, and mentor team members to ensure that they have the skills and resources they need to succeed.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide a consistent/successful interface between LaunchPad and other development teams and ClassLink departments.
  • Develop leadership skills within the organization and mentor other leaders
  • Development, measurement, and management of key metrics for group’s performance
  • Drive high throughput and all connected key metrics on a strategic level
  • Standardize the development process where needed, allow local differences where advantageous
  • Represent ClassLInk and the product well to internal and external stakeholders


Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing product teams.
  • Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
  • Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence,  and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of product-centered principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.  

It would be great if you have or are pursuing any of the following:

  • PMI Agile Certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, etc)
  • Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) Certifications (Product Owner/Manager)

We prefer that you have experience with: 

  • Microsoft Suite 
  • Google Suite
  • MS Office Suite
  • SalesForce
  • JIRA and Confluence
  • AWS
  • Pendo, HEAP, other analytics tools
