Provide technician level support to electro-mechanically integrated systems and projects with an emphasis on the daily production of fiber optic ferrules. Responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, and repair of automated industrial machinery as well as creation, maintenance, and completion of accurate, comprehensive records of all activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Take direction from Engineers and Supervisors in support of current projects and production requirements

· Establish and maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all activities and updates to current systems

· Follow and understand quality control systems associated with molded components

· Arrange for repair of manufacturing and / or related equipment

· Assist with periodic equipment, product, and / or process qualifications as required

· Technical skills include manual machining, sheet metal fabrication, working with pneumatic and / or hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, PLC and / or HMI programming, and software development, debugging, and upgrades

· Additional duties and / or overtime work may be required as needed

  Education and Skill Requirements

· Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in engineering field, Mechanical or Plastics Engineering preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medium volume injection molding manufacturing environment

· Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in injection molding processes, engineering grade materials, machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment

· Creative thinking, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· General PC skills with standard MS Office software
