Position Summary:
Symphony Park, a premier Independent Living Resort, is seeking dedicated and professional servers to join our Food and Beverage team. Our resort boasts three unique, high-end restaurants, each offering a distinctive dining experience to our residents and guests. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional service and committed to enhancing the dining experience of our residents and their guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide courteous, efficient, and high-quality service to residents and guests in our dining venues.
- Understand the menu offerings in each restaurant, including ingredient details, preparation methods, and special dietary options.
- Take and process orders accurately, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are met.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Engage with residents and guests to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle resident feedback with empathy and professionalism, resolving any issues swiftly.
- When necessary, escalate issues and complaints to the FOH manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all dining areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and other staff members to ensure seamless service.
- Ability and willingness to cross-train and fill necessary roles within the food and beverage department to ensure high quality service.
- Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
- Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, and annual training.
- Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
Experience Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a server role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis, may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
- Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck while, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Reach– must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead, requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating weight of 25 pounds or more.
- Sensory Vision – must be able to read clearly with or without corrective lenses
- Hear - Must be able to hear telephone, audible alarms, bells and signals related to resident safety with or without hearing devices.
- Speech/Language – must have strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret administration information.
