Description

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for daily preparation of bakery items for the Seven Feathers Truck & Travel Center and Seven Feathers Casino Resort.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Produce a fresh and top quality product in a prompt and consistent manner, under guidelines and directives set by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace as directed by industry standards.
  • Be aware of menu content and maintain excellent presentation of finished product.
  • Ensure the bakery area is fully stocked to appropriate levels for projected business.
  • Complete assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor and ensures that all of the daily tasks are carried out.
  • Maintain proper and professional relations with all other members of the culinary staff.
  • Conform to and respect all company policies and directives while maintaining a proper and professional attitude towards co-workers and day-to-day duties.
  • Responsible for ensuring good safety practices of employees throughout the culinary department and ensure proper emergency and security procedures are followed.
  • Perform special projects as requested.
  • Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration within the department and property by demonstrating respect for others’ judgement and capabilities. 
  • Give praise/recognition to those who earn it.
  • Willingly accept suggestions, take instructions, and strive to correct problems. 
  • Provide constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
  • Maintain confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media. 
  • Limit access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a busy bakery environment, preparing baked goods, working with presentations and developing well-rounded culinary skills.
  • Exhibit intermediate level administrative/clerical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks through superior organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, when applicable.
  • Make sure that communications are clear, concise, complete and accurate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Exhibit exceptional guest service approach in dealing with vendors, guests and staff.
  • Ability to obtain a Class I Gaming License
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.  (Specific Standards available)
