· Generate or supervise the completion of quantitative analysis including financial ratio analysis, debt capacity analysis and financial statement/valuation analysis as well as debt sizings for varied financing scenarios.
· Draft pitch materials, RFP responses, information memoranda for financing solicitations, public/private debt offerings and strategic advisory assignments, and industry conference presentations.
· Coordinate the financing process with clients and other financing team members to facilitate the execution and closing of financings and the application/investment of funds as well as strategic advisory transactions.
· Solicit and negotiate term sheets from commercial banks, as well as proposals from verification agents and trustees.
· Interface with rating agencies to secure and maintain credit ratings.
· Review legal documents to ensure appropriate representation of key covenants and terms.
· Coordinate information flow with prospective investors, as well as internal colleagues in Underwriting, Distribution, and Operations.
· Provide research regarding client credit characteristics and market conditions.
· Assist senior bankers with preparation for business development and prospect/client meetings and as time permits, accompany senior bankers to these meetings.
· Assist in the training and supervision of Analysts or Associates and be a go-to for questions and guidance.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· 5+ years’ experience in Public Finance, preferably with experience in project-related financings or education, senior living or healthcare sectors.
· Excellent computer skills (highly proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and DBC Finance.
· Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to understand key credit challenges and potential solutions.
· Must possess strong attention to detail; complete work products devoid of careless mistakes.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to perform independent, in-depth analysis and generate concise conclusions and recommendations.
· Demonstrated level of maturity and professionalism in working with clients, external professionals, and Sims colleagues.
· Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills including ability to work well with colleagues and senior professionals in an engagement team.
