Description
The Intern is responsible for learning and applying their technical skills in practical situations and working as part of a team or individually completing tasks under close coaching and supervision. Interns will prepare individual and business tax returns with opportunities to participate in trust and estate tax returns, Through this process, they will gain real-world business experience.
Tax Experience
- Collaborate with staff, seniors, managers and partners.
- Complete a variety of tax returns (business, individual, trust and estate, non-profit, etc.).
- Gain a vast knowledge of different industries.
- Build a foundational knowledge of business entities and the tax strategies related to them.
Client Service Management
- Seek to gain knowledge of client business operations and goals.
- Understand key performance measures of the client (profitability, fluctuations, etc.)
Business Development
- Build understanding of firm processes and client service offerings.
Team Development
- Build strong team relationship skills.
- Work as an effective team member.
Personal Effectiveness
- Effectively apply education and firm training to practical situations.
- Effectively complete projects and assigned tasks.
- Pursue self-development opportunities.
Leadership
- Own assigned tasks and keep ICs informed of progress and problems.
Requirements
Education:
- Satisfactory completion of Intermediate Accounting I and working towards an accounting or finance degree
Production
- Meet firm standard for chargeable hours and realization

- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Team player with a positive – “can do” approach.
- Ability to learn and develop technical skills.
- Practical understanding of tax and accounting concepts.

Salary Description
$28/hour
