XTIVIA - Windows System Administrator / Cloud Engineer (AWS / AZURE)


This is a remote position (within the United States).


This role is full-time.


How you will make a difference

  • Provide administration support for our current and future customers on the Amazon Web services (AWS) Platform and Microsoft Azure.
  • Responsible for deployments, migrations, upgrades, and configuration on prem and cloud.
  • Continual monitoring of customers’ resources on prem and cloud.
  • Creating and maintaining monitoring scripts.
  • Perform system administration work as assigned by customers.
  • System Architecture design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Provide DNS, and other critical systems monitoring and support.
  • Participate in sales cycles, gathering customer requirements, and scoping/estimating solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation working directly with end clients.

What you bring to your new team

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • A bachelor's or master's qualification in computer technology.
  • Expert coding proficiency.
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS tools or Azure with the willingness to learn both environments
  • The ability to conduct testing at different levels and stages of the project.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Experience with DevOps; knowledge of optimization, automation, integration, and productivity tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant libraries and security protocols.
  • Provide effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, and other related on-prem, hosted, and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and security mechanisms adhere to best practices and organizational standards.
  • Utilize various automation, monitoring, and service management tools & techniques to troubleshoot issues and perform performance tuning.
  • Experience with AWS services management and integration of AWS with on-premise infrastructure and private cloud environments.
  • Experience with common protocols including LAN / WAN, subnetting, VLANs, IPSec VPN, BGP, IDP, QoS, LUNs, RAID, iSCSI technologies.
  • Experience analyzing VM sizing, VM family/class recommendations from AWS on Reserved Instances, and identity/execute on VM migrations to proper sizing.

This position has an expected salary range of $100,000 to $120,000.

You will also be eligible for the XTIVIA employee bonus plan.
