POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is part of the overall Loan Operations Team that closes, analyzes, books and services loans and attorney approved documentation.
Loan Documentation Specialists are responsible for processing loan applications in compliance with bank policies, meeting investor guidelines and demonstrating lending strategies. A loan document specialist may specialize in AG, Commercial, Consumer, Auto, and Participations.
The position requires the knowledge to perform specialized operational duties, such as System Data Validation of New and Renewed loans, Maintenance Review of system changes, and timely follow-up of any outstanding open items, while meeting a time managed Service Level Agreements.
Working closely with loan officers, loan document specialists may also obtain credit information, coordinate closings, calculate closing costs and disperse funds. They are responsible for monitoring loan processes, reviewing reports, and complying with state and federal regulations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce multiple loan document packages for all loan products that Bank of Idaho offers.
- Support lenders and customers in their credit requests by completing loan packages for all products the Bank Offers. (Ag, Commercial, Participations, Consumer, Change In Terms/Renewals).
- Conduct thorough reviews of all collateral supporting documentation for accuracy to ensure proper collateral perfection.
- Proactively identify potential risks, and discuss with management contingency plans
- Perform a detailed review of all booked loans to ensure boarding data accuracy and that loans agree with accounting and loan system records as well as in compliance with Bank commitments, lending regulations, Bank policy, and procedures
- Maintain effective working relationships through professional communications with personnel and Bank customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years Commercial Loan Documentation experience
- Experience with multiple documentation platforms and other internal bank systems, including Laser Pro, Teslar, Fiserv-Precision, Excel, and Word.
- Proficient knowledge of loan documentation, loan provisions/terms, and compliance.
- Understanding of basic loan concepts and a working knowledge of lending principles.
- Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Loan Servicing system
- Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- The ability to relate to a wide variety of people at both ends of the professional spectrum.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week or more as business dictates
- Ability to work overtime when there are business needs
- Ability to travel to Branches in your region on a regular basis
- Regular travel required to visit, train, and evaluate other branches within your network, 20% - 40% travel may be required.
