River Region Psychiatry Associates (RRPA) and Alabama Psychiatry are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in Spanish Fort, Alabama.

Position Highlights:
- Outpatient Care: Provide high-quality outpatient services at our Spanish Fort clinic.
- Veteran Support: Partner with a local veterans’ organization to deliver compassionate, off-site mental health care.
- Telemedicine Services: Expand access to care by offering virtual mental health support to our community mental health facilities.
Schedule & Responsibilities:
- Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- On-Call Rotation: One weekend per month of inpatient rounding.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current PMHNP certification with a valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to beginning.
- Experience: Previous experience in outpatient and telemedicine care is preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Strong commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing.
- Those six years are composed of a 4-year undergraduate nursing program followed by a 2-year nurse practitioner master's program that includes psychiatric nursing.
- Must have or pursuing a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting
- Must possess a State License to practice Nursing and it must be in good standing.
- Must possess the knowledge base in health promotion maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and pharmacology for advanced practice nurses.
- Must possess the following concepts: individual and family psychotherapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, advanced assessment in psychiatric-mental health nursing and psychopharmacology.
